Evaluation

To be aware of the importance of star rating, losing one can mean the bankruptcy of the restaurant. Your achievement can put you on the map of world gastronomy.

The maximum that a restaurant can achieve is three stars, meaning luxury and impeccable cuisine. Every year, restaurants are evaluated to see if they meet the criteria to receive the longed-for distinction, and may win or lose in the ranking. Earning a star can be hopeless for restaurant owners and chefs, such is the thorough assessment.

To earn more, until you reach two or three stars, you need to skim the perfection, which in a kitchen, with hundreds of dishes coming out daily, is a very difficult mission.

A star: A very good restaurant in its category, offering cuisine prepared to a consistent and high standard. To visit, if you are close by.

Two stars: A restaurant with excellent cuisine and carefully prepared dishes of excellent quality. It is worth a detour along the way.

Three Stars: A restaurant that is worth a special trip, indicating exceptional cuisine, where customers eat extremely well. Characteristic and precisely executed dishes, using superlative ingredients.
